What: Gingham is a type of striped pattern. This pattern is mainly found in cotton based clothing.

How to Wear: This kind of striped pattern is found commonly in button down shirts. They are now extended by designers in floral colors. We can find these patterns in dress, full skirts and bomber jackets as well. 

Fun Fact: There is no right or wrong side of Gingham pattern because of the way the fabrics are woven together. It is considered as an economical fabric because of which it has been used in home furnishings as well.  History proves this fabric to have manufactured  in different parts of the world. It is believed that the name is derived from Malaysian word genggang, which means striped.
