What: A Gilet“Jee-Lay” or “Gee-Lay” ) is a sleeveless vest which is primarily worn as an extra layering for providing warmth.

How to wear: A gilet can be dressed up or down based on the occasion. It best to be used during transitional weather. A staple wardrobe item for creating layered looks.

Fun Fact: The gilet originated in the 19th century as a dress bodice. It is based on the masculine waistcoat style.

What: A kind of sleeve which is puffed up and then tapered. 

Where:  Commonly seen in Blazers, shirts, dresses

Fun Fact: These kind of sleeves were introduced in mid 1890s. They gained prominence by the royal families. These sleeves are making their appearance back now in a very over the top red carpet moments.
